SCM Group CNC Repair
Martronic have been successfully repairing SCM CNC controls for many years.
The Kvara units are the central controller between the PC and the CNC system, responsible for handling all the PLC and NC tasks and interfacing to I/O, drives and the PC.
The Kvaras are great when they are operating correctly, however they can and do go wrong. When they do it usually renders a machine inoperative.
As part of our service we carry out the following work to all Kvara units that come through the workshop:-
- Cleaning and decontamination of all casings and PCB's
- Replacement of all electrolytic capacitors, batteries and cooling fans
- Replacement of all known failure components
- Repair of any corrosion damage
- Backing up of your PC HDD to a ghost image for future use
- Connection of the Kvara to the PC, reinitialisation and a full test ensuring communications are working, the PLC runs and the Kvara is at state "0"
Martronic have repaired many of these units, every one with 100% success rate. From units that don't communicate, PLC output issues or just stuck at "8", we have the skill to repair, reload and fully test your unit before it goes back on your machine.
We strongly encourage you to choose your repairer carefully. Many in the industry will change standard components blindly in the hope they have fixed it and send it back, leaving you more often not in the same position but also with a large bill. We always ask for the PC with every Kvara and this should be the first indication of an experienced repairer. You cannot repair these properly without the associated PC.
