About Martronic

We are a family run business in Preston, North West England. 

From a young age I was always fascinated by how things worked, often taking things apart through curiousity and them never working again! As I grew older I would always attempt to fix things around the house when they broke, from a vacuum cleaner to a washing machine. This is where the real love started for anything electronic. I studied electronics right the way through secondary school, onto A-Level and finally gaining a Bachelor's degree in Electronic Engineering in 2006. Armed with these qualifications it was time to enter the big wide world and gain some real  practical experience.

I entered the world of industrial electronic repair, which was different to anything I had ever seen before. Suddenly I was working on PLC's, inverters and old industrial controllers from the 80s. It was incredibly complex but it enabled my knowledge to grow at a rate like never before. It really  is true that you never stop learning when working on industrial equipment.

Over the next 20 years I worked on thousands of different pieces of equipment, some with basic faults others with extreme damage but the same passion flowed into every job. Over those years I developed ways in which to test things that wouldn't normally be tested, assisted and mentored junior engineers and even built an electronics workshop from scratch. I have an immense passion for electronics - it is much more than just a job to me.
